Some
of the most powerful V8’s in Australia will go head-to-head with Japan’s
hottest imports at Winton Motor Raceway on Saturday October 29 as the best
drifters in the country battle out the final round of the Drift Australia
Championship.

“Drifting is the fastest growing form of motorsport in
the world.” said series organiser Wayne Boatwright. “The drivers slide their
cars though a series corners in high speed, tyre smoking series of two-car,
tandem drift battles. The sport was born in Japan and is dominated by powerful
turbo-charged Japanese imports but the big Aussie V8s are now starting to make
an impact.”
