| WOGBOYS MOTORSPORT Joshua Gaffiero ( WOGBOY jnr ) Has competed Round 2 at Winton Sprints 8 of May 2005 Josh came 2nd in the Juniors. FASTEST LAP 1:56.4390 This is Josh's second visit to Winton Raceway Driving a HQ Race spec Holden Joshua Gaffiero at 9 years old, has had the taste of Motorsport and was running around his father HQ Race Car Driver Mario Gaffiero and Crew Chief Roberto Sacco from Wogboys Motorsport. Helping with the prep work on the HQ Holdens ready for the next race meeting, with the heavy Compertion the team was never shy of trying new setups to find that edge . Josh during his school holidays and after school, he would work on the 3 HQ Holdens and originally was spanner cleaner, car washer, window cleaner then got promoted to tyre changing and doing tyre pressure's. Some where along the way in time Josh learnt how to remove and reasemble in impressively fast time brake pad changing, engine removal, pulling out diffs and gear boxes, rolling of cylinder heads doing setups and many other jobs that you wouldn't give to a young teenager to do. Now at 16 years old instead of chasing GIRLS and PARTYS his love is with "WOGBOYS MOTORSPORT" Now under the watchful eye of his father Mario Gaffiero in Driver training at Winton as it is the track to master it has begun. Joshua will be Driving for his father at WOGBOYS MOTORSPORT in a HQ Holden Race car and is looking at being the first Junior to have a AASA License to compete in the AASA Series of, VICTORIAN MOTOR RACING CHAMPIONSHIP for 2006. First time at Winton 6th Feb 2005 Josh had 5 sessions at 3 laps each and his fastest Session 1 = 2:16.0400. Session 2 = 2:05.1900. Session 3 = 2:03.6300. Session 4 = 2:03.3700. Session 5 = 2:00.1700 On this Josh has carved 16 seconds from start to finish. The next round was 8th May 2005 he jumped into the HQ Racecar he shows an immediate improvement by starting the first session at. Session 1 = 1:58.6370. Session 2 = Had a big spin between turn 1 and 2 missing the wall and trying to impress his Father and suffered a DNF Session 3 = 1:57.3840. Session 4 = 1:56.4390 Josh shows more Improvement of saving another 2.2 seconds. Just 4 more seconds and Josh will be on Race Pace. Mario Said were hoping to try Josh out at the next AASA Round at Winton on 6th and 7th of August and perhaps Josh will compete in our second car in the 4HOUR ENDURO on December 10th this year. Lots of people are taking an interest in Josh and are behind him to try and beat me, And when he does I will Know I'm due to put my Helmet in my trophy cabinet and stay in the pits and wash cars and Help Roberto.
