About Helix

Helix was written around November 2001 by Timothy 'Zero' Rowe.

Using sites that had been hosted on studio12 for some time, when CGI/Perl was deactivated an alternative had to be found.
For some time it had been indended to write a new news updater that was customised to meet the needs of the sites hosted on Studio12, and so the best and most useful features from NewsPro, GreyMatter, Triumph and GreySeer's Truly Amazing News Updater (CHNET) were taken and put in to one.

Eventually Helix will include forums, articles, news, polls, uploaded files, etc, however for the time being it is still in development, though work is progressing relatively quickly and smoothly.
